Community Guidelines
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Jaha is for sharing real adventures at real places. Post things you'd genuinely
recommend to a friend, be honest about what's there, and keep it safe and
welcoming. Every post, review, and photo is checked automatically before it goes
live; anything the filter can't confidently clear waits for review.
1. What belongs on Jaha
- Real, verifiable places. Every stop must be a place that actually
exists and is publicly accessible. No private residences, no trespassing spots, no
"secret" locations that require crossing fences or ignoring posted signs.
- Honest descriptions. Say what's actually there. Don't oversell
hazards away (a strenuous exposed scramble is not "an easy stroll") and don't invent
amenities.
- Your own words and photos. Content you wrote or shot yourself, or
have the right to share.
- Practical, specific tips. Parking, timing, what to order, what to
skip — the stuff that makes a quest work.
2. What gets rejected
Safety violations (zero tolerance)
- Directions that encourage trespassing, entering closed areas, or ignoring posted
closures (including heat closures on trails).
- Content that downplays serious physical hazards (no-water routes, flash-flood terrain,
exposure) or presents dangerous activity as casual.
- Anything targeting minors inappropriately or sexualizing anyone.
Harmful or unwelcome content
- Harassment, hate speech, or attacks on people or groups.
- NSFW or sexually explicit text or images.
- Graphic violence or gore.
- Doxxing or exposing anyone's private information or precise home location.
Spam & deception
- Advertising, affiliate funnels, or link farms disguised as quests or reviews.
- Fake reviews (reviewing your own quest under alts, review bombing, incentivized ratings).
- Duplicate or near-duplicate spam posts.
- Impersonation of people or businesses.
Place-integrity violations
- Invented or misplaced locations (wrong coordinates on purpose, non-existent businesses).
- Content promoting damage to natural or cultural sites (off-trail shortcuts through
fragile desert, carving, moving artifacts — leave no trace applies).
Illegal content
- Anything soliciting or facilitating illegal activity. Full stop.
3. Photo rules
Photos ride along with reviews (and check-ins). They're screened for image content, not
just captions:
- People are welcome — selfies, friends posing, busy patios, hikers on the trail. Don't
post photos taken to demean, embarrass, or expose someone (mocking strangers, private
moments, or revealing where an identifiable person lives).
- No NSFW, violent, or shocking imagery.
- No screenshots-of-text, memes, or promotional graphics — photos should show the place.
- Location-accurate: the photo should plausibly be from the place reviewed.
4. How enforcement works
- Automated screen (seconds). Every post, review, publish request, and
photo passes an AI moderation check against these guidelines. Clear passes go live
immediately; clear violations are rejected with the reason shown to you.
- You can fix and resubmit. A rejection isn't a strike — edit and try
again. The reason tells you what tripped.
- Flags are human-reviewed. Anyone (including guests) can report live
content. Reports queue for human review.
- Repeat or deliberate abuse escalates. Patterns of violation can lead
to content removal, publishing restrictions, or account termination. Egregious safety
violations skip the ladder.
5. AI-generated content
Quests assembled by Jaha's AI are always labeled as such, everywhere they appear.
Publishing an AI quest to the community makes you its sponsor — it passes
the same moderation as anything else, keeps its AI badge, and rejections come back to you with
the reason.
6. Rights & responsibilities
- You keep ownership of what you post; you grant Jaha a license to display it in the app
and in promotion of the app.
- You're responsible for your own safety judgment. Guidelines and heat advisories inform,
they don't guarantee — desert conditions are real.
- We may update these guidelines; material changes will be noted in-app.
Questions
Questions or edge cases? Report the content in the app and the review queue will sort it
out, or email support@jahago.com.
Draft for review. This page mirrors the in-app community guidelines that
power Jaha's automated moderation. Re-check it against the current app behavior before you
submit for App Store review.
